I made 35 gingerbread houses with the help of about 10 Assistance League of Wichita ladies for a fundraiser in November. (We buy new clothing for needy school children)

Shayna and Todd and their greyhound, Solomom, at their home in Takoma Park , MD, last October. They announced their engagement on Dec. 31.
