The Stahl Family

Our family is still as active as ever. Empty nest, yeah right, what's that. We still are on the go all the time. If we are not doing something at the church we are doing some remodeling of our home (redecorating one room at a time).

Tanner and Emily are at Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville, TN. They both are really enjoying themselves and doing a pretty good job. Tanner is majoring in music and Emily in Education.

Arlie Rose is busy being a wife to Matt and a mother to JD and Laura Grace.

Tena is still playing the piano for church and Mike is teaching a 4th grade Sunday school class at and still doing programs at the other churches.

Thanks Dad

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake.
I pray the Lord my soul to take.

I remember that's the prayer I'd pray.
When I was at home not too far away.
Momma would say it's time for bed.
I had no worries when I lay down my head.

My Dad was a preacher man.
Who earned a living with his hands.
He had nine kids he had to feed.
Still there was no time we were in need.

They both loved us every one
I'm proud to be their son.
They were always there for me.
We were very happy as we could be.

Now I have three kids of my own.
My Daddy long since is gone.
I hope the Lord lets him look below
To see his grandchildren as they grow.

I'm a better dad because of him.
I hope I can pass on to them
the love that once I knew,
as into a man I grew.

Thank you Dad for what your life meant,
and how you took love wherever you went.
When time comes that my life is through,
in Heaven I'll enjoy living with you.

Sitting here looking at a picture of You, I see things that not everyone sees.

I see a heart that is so big that I don’t know how your body holds all the love you show to others and to me.

I see feet that go the extra mile and of course it goes without saying, everyone can see your wonderful smile.

I see a servant that is glad to do something extra for your family and friends and someone who will sit and talk to grandma for a while.

I see you treat your friends with respect and extra care, I see a girl that, when you have something special, is always glad to share.

I see a young lady with big plans and lofty dreams. At times you turn those plans into well thought out schemes.

More than anything when I look at you I see a person who has made me one of the luckiest people in the world. I thank God again today for giving me such a wonderful, talented, crafty, funny, fun, beautiful, caring, sharing, bright, smiling, spiritual and lovely girl.

I love you more than I have ever shown and more than you have ever known. You will always be my baby girl. DAD
